Greetings from South Africa

I am having a wonderful time here since I arrived in South Africa. Today I had an opportunity to meet with the students leaders from Every Nation Cape Town who are preparing their students conference. The pictures below are from my speech during that meeting. There is a big interest for what God is doing in CAR through the ministry of CIDEL. I just got a report from the students conference in Johannesburg that 140 students are committed to go to mission in CAR. I am excited to see their response to my message on "Let's go to society". A team of 12-13 is in planning for the opportunity for ministry at the university of Bangui in November 2011. Please pray that the same burden I have seen here among university Christian students will take place in CAR.

I continue to appreciate your prayer support for my ministry here until I get back home.

Greetings,

Just to inform you that I have made a safe trip to Johannesburg yesterday to attend a student conference in 4 cities (Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth). I will speak on the theme "Let's go to society" in the four gatherings during the two weeks.

Yesterday was my birthday and God allow me to celebrate it on the air through many countries to South Africa. My wife's birthday was on August 9, mine is August 10 and our oldest son Obed Hyppolite is August 13.

Join me in prayer for more impact in the lives of people I will meet during my stay here.

Greetings to all,

We still need your prayer support for the end of the strikes of students and university teachers here in Bangui, CAR. We decided to postpone the students leadership conference planned for November 17-18, 2011 until next year 2012. Otherwise we will plan a train the trainers courses for some students leaders in november to prepare the conference.

The strategy is to train 100 students leaders who will train 10 students each one. Please pray that everything will go well. Such activity will help with the chaplaincy ministry and the chapel when it will be constructed.

We are waiting the government's approval of the dates for the leadership seminars to happen in September.

Greetings from Africa,

The only university of Bangui was in a 48 hours of strike since last Wednesday. Students have some concern about their training: They complained and reacted very sadly on Thursday. On Friday I sent a letter to the Rector reminding him on some Bible verses I read to him in April 2008 the day he was appointed to the leadership of the university. Yesterday morning I received his phone call inviting me to join him in his spiritual retreat in his home. We spent a refreshing time reflecting on Bible and prayers. The strike is calmed down due to the wisdom of the rector and his staff.

I was amazed to hear him giving an advice to a student who is the vice president of the students body. He asked him to plan a leadership seminar for the students body and have me trained them, because he went through the leadership seminars of Pointman Leadership Institute that he highly appreciate it and is using the principles in his leadership. He also encouraged the student to never accept to join any cult that is targetting students.

On Thursday July 21, my wife and I spent a time with a couple whose marriage was ready to experiment a divorce. Praise God for the wisdom He gave us to reconcile the couple and give them hope for their marriage. Marie Helene and I are praying to see how we can organize our 30th marriage anniversary in September 27 where we will invite friends to celebrate how two people from different background, tribes can live together because of God's union through faith in Christ. The last time we celebrated our 25th, about 30 couples where invited and some who were in a process of divorce did confess and trust in God for the protection of their marriage. Please pray that we can make that event possible.

Our prayer time with the head of our government is going well. He is growing in the knowledge of Christ and continue to ask for prayer support. On Wednesday July 27, I will have an audience with the Minister of Planning and in August 5th with the General Director of a panafrican bank called Ecobank. I will present my ministry and offer a possibility of seminars with the staff of their institutions.

1) Pray that the dates for the government seminars will be set very soon.

2) Pray for the students leadership that will take place at the university of Bangui in November 17-18, 2011 with about 1000 students. We are working together with a Christian organization in South Africa called Every Nation and Campus Harvest

3) Pray that God will provide soon for the building of the center of ethics/chapel at the university of Bangui where I can have a new office there and minister there as a chaplain

4) Pray for Gaspard Mamang a new appointed in my office as my assistant.

5) Pray for the preparation of the national conference of the Union of Grace Brethren churches in CAR that I will be the moderator in January 2012.

6) Pray that God will provide financially for the activities of CIDEL in CAR, Cameroon and other African countries.

Together we can do more for His kingdom
