Greetings from Chad,
Praise God for our last session on leadership. Thanks to all of you
who have prayed for the success of these weeks of learning about
Christian Ethics and servant Leadership. We are pleased with what God
has taught us through the weeks.
Today is the last test for the students on servant leadership. They
were asked to answer to some questions such as: The difference between
a leader and a manager, what is the consequence of a democratic
leadership? What are the leadership principles are in Matthew
20:20-28? What Bible verses can prevent a leader from proud, money
and sex? What happens when a leader loses his character? What are some
negative and positive aspects of a servant leadership?
Students will also evaluate my training to help me improve my methods
of teaching. On Monday, we will celebrate the end of the 4th session
of the Bible School of Missiology. Larry will spend some weeks more
after my departure.
What an experience during this mission to Chad. I am confident God
will protect us and bring us safely back home.
Together we can strengthen each other.

Dear prayer worriors!
As you pray, God is doing amazing thing to my family back home. This
morning around 6 AM my wife has a car accident on her way to our field
60 km from town in Bangui (CAR). She was in my vehicle with some other
people who went to help harvest our peanut. Gabin is the driver. He is
my sister-in-law's son. At 20 km of Bangui, he was taking a curve and
met with a big truck that carried a caterpillar on it.
It's was a wide load that took most of the road. Gabin tried his best
to avoid the accident but was stucked by the truck. Praise God most of
the people in the vehicle was protected. Only a young man on the back
of the vehicle was seriously injured on his face and his right ear
that need a surgery to fix it. Pray for him as he is still at the
hospital in Bangui. My wife said that the vehicle was seriously
damaged.
I want to praise God for his sovereignity over that situation that
could turn so bad for my family. As you know I am many miles from my
home to train 12 evangelists and pastors in a missiological Bible
Institute at Moundou, Chad. The training begun yesterday with a great
motivation from all of us. I am so thankful to God for using my mouth
to spread his word on ethical behaviour and servant leadership. We are
all challenged to obey God in every aspect of our lives and be
transformed and agent of the transformation of people around us. There
is a good spirit among the students and a real desire to learn and be
changed. We address african issues on our culture and look for answers
from the Bible.
there will be the first evaluation of the students on Saturday. they
also have some research on different topics to present. I love to
teach the word of God and help people think and act according to God's
truth (Col. 1:28 from the French version).
I greatly appreciate your support in prayers and encourage you to
continue. I am confident God will work during this difficult situation
I am facing with my family.
Internet connexion is very difficult here.

Greetings from Larry and Augustin,
Some of you got my email about my safe arrival in Chad last Wednesday.
Praise God Larry Dearmey with whom we will train the students in
Moundou, safely made in Ndjamena (Chad) last night. Unfortunately his
luggages did not arrive with him. The workbooks for the training that
will start on Monday are expected to come on Saturday with Air France.
Pray that we can get the luggages with us on Sunday with a missionary
from TEAM who will go from Ndjamena to Moundou.
We are waiting since 9 AM to get a ride to Moundou but our driver
don't show up yet. We continue to appreciate your prayers on our
behalf as we are in the fields to spread His word for a transformation
in the lives of the leaders.
Pray for Marie Helene who went to the hospital this morning for some
health problem.

Dear prayer partners,
It's took me 14, 30 hours to get to Ndjamena in Chad yesterday. The
direct flight from Bangui to Ndjamena that takes 1,30 hour was
cancelled few months ago. So I started at home at 6 AM, took Kenya
Airways and got to Douala in Cameroon at 10:50 AM and waited there for
correspondence until 7:45 PM to fly with Asky. Praise God the trip was
fine.
I am staying at TEAM Mission in Ndjamena waiting for Larry Dearmey who
will join me tonight. Tomorrow, we will head to Moundou where is
located the Bible School of Missiology to begin the training on Monday
September 10. I will be teaching on Christian Ethics and Servant
Leadership to about 12 men coming from different part of the country
and Cameroon.
I will appreciate your prayers for us during those three weeks to
learn from God and His word how to be transformed to the image of
Christ and be more productive in our lives. My prayer is that the 12
students understand that God want to us them and act through their
lives and that their character, attitude and behaviour are so
important to make an impact in the lives of those who see them. They
need to develop Christlike character and put into practive what they
believe and say. I love the quotation I learnt from my teacher Bill
Male: "What I say is important, what I do is very important but what I
am is the most important". I want the student to consider those three
parts of one's life that need to be developped.
Please pray for my family as they are back home, especially my wife
Marie Helene who don't have a job now. Pray for my daughter Sulamite
who will travel to Ngaoundere next week to attend the university
there.

Greetings to all,
Last Thursday I was invited by the Dean of the Department of Economy
and Management who asked me to help teach the students of the 3rd and
4th year of his department on leadership. He also asked that CIDEL to
find teachers to teach courses on Business management and micro
enterprise. He can welcome visiting professors who can offer their
help for one to two weeks. Any qualified teacher in those area can be
a great help to our university between October to December of this
year or next year.
Please let me know if there is an interest in a mission to the
University of Bangui to teach. The university is not able to pay for
the trip and other expenses related to the visiting professors. The
financial problem of the university has limited the visiting
professors to those under the French cooperation.

Greetings to all,
Our week here in Bangui, Central African Republic was challenging but
God is using us to affect the lives of many. You all know about my
wife and my brother's lost of job in their workplace this week. Many
have sent words of encouragement to us. Thanks so much. Yes, our Lord
can close a door and open another, so we trust in Him and wait for
this timing.
We have had two important meetings this week. Yesterday Gaspard and
myself have conducted the first lesson on the book of Habitudes to ten
small groups of university students from two churches. The first
lesson is on the iceberg that teaches us about our leadership. The 10%
of the iceberg above the water is our skill and the 90% below the
water is our character. What is below the surface that sinks the ship.
The iceberg is a great picture of leadership because so much of our
influence comes from qualities we can't see on the outside. Weak
character will eventually damage our ability to lead, but a strong
characte will hold us up long enough to use our skills.
It's has been a joyfull experience of those participants to learn the
principles from the iceberg and the importance of leading yourself
before you lead other people. Now each group will meet one day a week
to continue the other lessons. Please pray that we will find many
mentors to coordonate those small groups in different churches. We
have hard time to organize the small groups in the university campus
for those who live in the dormatory or close to the university. On
Thursday we met with the leaders in the campus and did ask them to
present the list of the members of their groups next Thursday so that
we can begin the first lesson with them as an introduction. Please
pray that many small groups will take place in the campus soon.
Today I conducted a bible class with 50 members of a church in town on
Romans 12:1-2 on the necessity of a transformation by the renewing of
our mind. We spent four hours learning how to allow the Holy Spirit
transform our mind so that we can have clear understanding of God's
will for our lives. It's was an outstanding encounter with those
believers in Christ. Many have committed their lives to be transformed
in the image of Christ and not continue to be Sunday believers.
Tomorrow, I will attend another church to meet with university
students to encourage them to create their small groups of training on
transformational leadership. I guess I pass to you the information
about the gift from the Prime Minister to provide 40 books on the
Habitudes to the first students from his church who have applied for
the small groups. I am still spending the Monday prayer time and Bible
reading with him in his cabinet. I praise God for his personal growth
and confidence he has in our Lord. He continue to ask for prayer
support for his leadership.
I am ready with my Christian Ethics and servant leadership course I
have prepared for my mission to teach in a Missiological Bible
Institute in Chad. My departure will be in September 5 until 28. There
is no direct flight from Bangui to Ndjamena so I will fly to Douala in
Cameroon, spend six hours before heading to Ndjamena. On my way back,
I will spend a night in Douala and continue the following day to
Bangui. Travelling in Africa is not easy but I praise God for the
opportunity to offer a training to students in another country than my
country.
Please pray for :
1. My third daughter Sulamite who is preparing herself to go to
Ngaoundere in Cameroon to attend a university there (she may depart
sometime in September)
2. Pray for Jay who got his bachelor degree and has to make a decision
about which study he has to do at the university.
3. Pray for our oldest daughter Jessie, her husband and their two
children who are travelling to Nola where her husband has to work as
an inspector of forestry and water since they were married. Pray also
that Jessie will find a job in the department of commerce.
4. Pray for Netopha our second daughter who is writting her report of
intership in tourism and will do her defense before a jury in October.
5. Pray for the investigation we are doing to have my wife Marie
Helene go to a qualified hospital for her ear to be cured.
6. Praise God for my mother who has safely made home in the northern
part of the country after spending five months with my family.
Thanks for all your support.

Dear prayer supporters,
You have been constantly praying on our behalf. My wife Marie Helene
and myself thank you so much for your support. Please continue to do
specifically for my wife Marie Helene and my brother Josue who just
lost their job with ICDI yesterday due to the economic crisis the
organization is facing. Their HIV/AIDS program with True Love Waits
and True Love Stays is closed.
This change in the status of my wife will affect our family so deeply.
Her salary did help so much our need. Now the family will relay on
what I earn from my ministry.
We know from the Scriptures that "there is a time for everything ... a
time to search and a time to lose" (Ecc. 3:1-8), but our God is
Sovereign, he knows our need and will provide when we remain faithful
in Him and trust him.
Please join us in praying for my wife and brother's situation while
they are waiting for other opportunities.
Together in Christ.

Dear prayers supporters,
Yesterday, Saturday August 18, 2012, Marie Helene and myself actively
participated to a wedding that took place at the Mayor's office than
in a church. We were suprise when the M. Maka Savigne and his fiancé
Eline Chantal came some months ago to ask us for counselling on
marriage. We did not know them before, but they said that they heard a
good testimony about our marriage and life and are willing to have us
be part of their marriage.
In fact my sister-in-law that works in an office at the mining
Department shared about my family to a lady who is her co-worker. That
lady reported to her sister who is Chantal and Chantal discussed it
with her fiancé who both decided to not have one of their pastoral
staff be involved in their wedding. Savigne reported to me during the
counselling session that "most of the wedding where their pastors were
involved did not last. So when they heard about our marriage, they
decided to have our blessings and follow our examples." M. Savigne is
from one of the apostolic church here in town. He works as a logistic
accountant at the Bangui airport. He has been a total orphan in his
early year; but is very grateful to some pastors who have been so kind
to him in raising him in a Christian environment and life.
During the evening ceremony, I was asked to give a word of thanks for
the wedding. When I said that such event took place close to 31 years
for me and Marie Helene, the room was made a great "wow" for such
years we have spent together in our marriage. This is our fourth
involvement to weddings this year 2012. We count it as a ministry God
has given us to encourage obediance in God command for marriage.
We appreciate your continuous prayer support for us so that we will
keep our commitment and engagement to please God through our lives and
marriage. Pray that God will provide right husbands and wifes for our
six remaining children. Currently our oldest son Hyppolite who turned
28 years old last August 13, 2012 is looking for a wife for life. He
is still in Paris doing his intership with Alacatel-Lucent.
Please continue to pray for:
- the building construction project for Ethic/Chapel center at the
university of Bangui (we are still in need of more dollars to begin
the construction)
- launching the leadership training among students of the university
of Bangui (we are putting small groups of ten, ten students together
in different churches. Many need financial support to get the book for
the training. Next Friday we will gather students from different
churches together to present the first module or image on iceberg. The
image focuses on the importance of the character. After that, each
small group will continue by themselve)
- a seminar I will conduct in a Grace Brethren Church in town on
August 25th on the renewal of knowledge from Romans 12:1-2.
- my mission's trip to Moundou, Chad to train students at a
Missiological Institute on Christian Ethics and Servant leadership for
three weeks starting in September 5th.
- Gaspard my coworker who is taking a leadership training for a Master degree
- My wife Marie Helene who is seeking ways to attend a hospital in
Morrocco for her ear pain (more than 5 years now).
Thanks to all of you.

Greetings,
Praise God, my presentation before 1,200 students in Jo'burg went very well but I did not have time to meet with the students. Just after the presentation I was taken to the airport and fly to Durban. My second presentation was at the university of Kwazulu Natal at 7PM before a crowd of energetic and joyful students who are ready to go for Christ. I spoke on "Let's go to society" and share about my personal experience and what God is doing in me andthrough me.
Today I preached at the Kwazulu Natal university chapel and met with the leaders of youth from the various universities in Durban. I am inspired by the ministry of Campus Harvest among the universities in South Africa. Young South African Christian students are engaged to live godly life and be prepared to transform their society and their nation. I pray that the conference for the students in Bangui postponed for 2012 will take place.
I will be flying to Cape Town on Tuesday and speak there and in Port Elizabeth on next Saturday August 20, before I depart home on August 22. I appreciate your prayers on my behalf during my stay here

Greetings to all,
Gaspard my coworker at CIDEL are busy creating small groups of
students for the leadership initiative in different churches in
Bangui, the capital city.
Yesterday we met with the four small groups of students at the
Galabadja 3 Grace Brethren Church to launch their training on the
Habitudes: images that form the habitudes and attitudes of leadership
by Dr. Tim Elmore. We taught them how their groups should work toward
the transformation of each member of the groups.
Today, we are going to meet with students in a Baptist church to get
them in small groups and teach them how to begin their training. We
are so happy to begin this initiative that will bring the young
generation of leaders in obedience to Christ. Our vision is to see
young girls and boys emerge with biblical principles for their lives
and live with integrity and fear of God.
My assistant Gaspard Gaston Mamang is in a new program to earn a
Master of Leadership and Management from a Christian International
Organization called Development Associates International offered by
the Bangui Evangelical School of Theology. Please pray that he could
get some sponsors to be able to finish his training. Getting such
degree will enhance his ministry with CIDEL. The DAI program has
students from various department of the government and Gaspard will
create good relationship with many to have an opportunity to present
CIDEL to them.
Thanks to all of you who continue to pray, encourage and support the
ministry of CIDEL.
Together we can do more for the Lord's harvest.
